♥ Fried Chicken and Julienne!
This was another video on julienning carrots which I found was very smartly organised and showcased. The method of cutting was precise and the "tucking in" of fingers while cutting was a good learning point as well..
Well, that's all for now. I shall be back. :D

This is a book cover which we sewed and painted. The main theme for this product was "butterflies". I didn't want to have a book cover with purely butterflies so I decided to give it a childish feel which was why I decided to add in the boy chasing after the butterflies as well the the 4-tier rainbow!
This is a handphone pouch which was sewn during one of the lessons. We were given a method list straight from a book which we later had to modify to make it better. It was an interesting experience because it showed that books may not always be 100% accurately and in-dept.
This is a picture of a flower using mostly scrap cloth on a piece of self-adhesive syrofoam board. When I first saw the teacher's sample, I was quite amazed by how beautiful it looked. The way Mrs Chia taught us this was very structured and so we all understood what we had to do. It was very important not to cut too deep into the self-adhesive syrofosm board as cutting too deep would have created a rift between the 2 affected parts. On the whole, this assignment was very fun to do, not to mention rather simple. This is definitely a great technique we can use for birthday and christmas gifts!
This is a tote bag which we sewed and then stencilled on. It was done basically by dapping small amounts of paint onto the fabric using stencils of different shapes and patterns. For this assignment, it was very important that we planned where we wanted to stencil the pictures on as not doing so would have created a mess.
This was done using "double-sided tape" for fabrics. The theme for this assignment was "bear". We were each given a picture of the same bear which we had to trace onto different scrap clothes to finally come up with this product. I decided to turn the bear into an athlete cos its my interest and I guess when you do something which are of interest to you, you willl tend to treasure it more. I guess this point can be taken note of when going out to schools to teach craft and tech in future. It will be very important to ensure that we teach students something which they have an interest in to create a form of ownership on the products they create.

♥ Recycle
first way is to use bonding (some thing like double sided but this if for fabrics)
Cut the outlines of the product and cut accordingly and make sure you iron according to the design that you require.
Add in the outlines, sew the sides, give them eyes and notes and dont forget the patters.
and it is ready!

♥ Digitizing
First of all, we need to choose our own design from the net.
Here is my design that i chose.

After choosing the desired design you want, transfer to bernina software. Import the picture in, set the colour mode to 6 colours. Then use your magic wand to change the settings of what you want to sew first.
You need to sew the inside of the design then lastly you allow them to sew the outline.
Once you are done with the design, save it and transfer to the sewing machine.
Then, once you decided to sew using the hoop that you chosen, start pressing the undo arrow and it will inform you continue sewing.
The machine will stop once there's a need to change of colour thread.
After the sewing; it will look like what you had chosen earlier..
Dont forget to cut off the threads.. and this is the outcome if you do not sew the inner first. It is always advicesable to sew the inside then the outer of the design.
