♥ Napkin Method

We have just learnt how to incorporate the napkin method to decorate a plain-ordinary looking wooden piece of box into a presentable, sell-able box.
It was a very easy and fast process to get the box done.

The materials needed for this project would be

1) Pretty Napkins
2) A Wooden box
3) Sand Paper
4) Acrylic Paint
5) Paint brush- 1 for the glue, 1 for the paint
6) Decor Potch (glue)
7) Hair dryer

Let's go through the process methods together.

1) Using the sand paper, sand off any wood splinters or painting that has been painted onto the wood.
2) Prepare arcylic paint and a paint brush to paint the external surface of the wood. A sponge can be used to paint the box also.
3) When loading the brush or sponge with the paint, take note that the brush or sponge is not too wet.
4) Paint at least 2-3 layers of paint in the same direction so that the colour is more consistent and bright.
5) Remember to dry the paint with a hair dryer after each coat of paint.
6) Select the pattern or design of the napkin that you want to put over the box.
7) Once the size, pattern, position of the napkin has been decided, tear off the excess layers of the napkin and place it at the desired place of the box.
8) Use the paint brush to load the decor potch/glue and paint it onto the nakin over the box. Remember to start from the center of the napkin and move outwards to the edge to prevent bubbles/crisp from forming.
9) Dry after the glue has been applied using a hand dryer.
10) The box is done.
Isn't it an easy process...
These method of decorating a box is cheap and very easy to follow. Materials needed for this is also very affordable. The product is great for birthday/christmas presents etc.
